Bassist Steve Uccello and percussionist Nat Grant met in Santa Cruz in 2009, exchanged cds, and returned home to Monterey (CA) and Melbourne (Australia). Over the next year 'sung' was born, an online collaborative duo exploring live looping, processing, and an array of string and percussion instruments. 'Melbourne, Monterey' is the first release for what looks like being a long-term collaboration, and hopefully one day they'll actually get to play together in the same room!
